The incontinence problems

The problem of stress urinary incontinence usually results from the weakening of the pelvic floor muscles and stretching of the vagina, which leads to a change in the inclination angle of the urethra. There are two types of stress urinary incontinence which often co-exist with each other: anatomic (excessive mobility of the bladder and urethra), sphincteral (weakening of the sphincter muscle of the urethra).

MonaLisa Touch ™ method of laser incontinence treatment is a photothermal, non-ablative vaginal constriction. The laser strengthens the walls of the vagina, the intrauterine fascia and the area of the urethral meatus. The laser beam stimulates the collagen fibers of the mucosa, which in turn leads to their multiplication and strengthening. The treated tissue shrinks, which leads to a reduction in the angle of the urethra and restores its normal functionality.
